- Select the security tab and select users
- Under security, click on the advanced button.
- A new window will be displayed with the advanced security settings for SLUI
- Click on the owner tab and select a user as owner (current user)

- Close the other windows and return back to the system 32 folder with the SLUI file
- Right-Click on the file and open Properties again
- Go to the security tab as we did earlier. Select Users, and click the edit button this time.
- When the edit window opens, you can edit permissions for the current user who happens to be the system owner now.
- Click on the username and check the box next to Full Control to allow permission
- Click OK and close any other windows opened. Make sure you leave only the system 32 folder Open.
- Now click on the SLUI file and press the delete button on your keyboard. This will delete the file.
Once this is done, you’d need to follow the second step below to complete the activating windows 7 without serial key process.
Method 2. Activate Using CMD
Step 1. First, you have to run CMD as system administrator. You can do this by launching the search option and typing “CMD“.
Step 2. In CMD, type the following command
slmgr-rearm
Press the enter key on your keyword
Step 3. You will be prompted to restart your PC. Please do so.
Step 4. When the restart is complete, open CMD again and type in the following command
slmgr-ato
