I apologize if this notice is coming late but it’s better to be late than never. Please I just want to pass a quick warning to Android users who have rooted their android phones.
For the past few days, I have been getting reports in regard to bricked android phones.
Based on further investigation, it has come to the realization that doing a factory reset on a rooted android phone, can actually brick the device.
A few days back, we shared a post with you that talked about upgrading infinix android phone OS. Based on that post, we warned that you should unroot your infinix phone before upgrading its software as there have been reports leading to bricked phones while trying to upgrade.
Fast forward, there have been a series of reports in regards to android phones getting bricked in the course of doing a factory reset on the device and it is to this effect, we are warning that you should first, unroot your android phone before doing a factory data reset.
Unrooting an android phone is very easy. As a matter of fact, just yesterday, I had to unroot an android device before doing a factory data reset and the process was smooth.
Doing a factory data reset on an android phone takes the phone to its default state making it seem like a brand-new device.

How Do I Do A Factory Data Reset On Android?
- Simply navigate to your android phone settings,
- Scroll down to Backup & Reset and tap on Factory data reset.
You will receive a warning notification. If you still want to move on with the process, just continue.

pls, my infinix hot x507 got stack on the way following an update that pop up. unfortunately, my fone was rooted. now i can’t factory reset nor flash it, what should i do
