Flash share for blackberry 10 phone seems to be something most people are interested in. Here on this very post, I will be talking on whether or not, you can use the app on your BB10 phone and how to download flash share APK for Blackberry 10 phone.
Okay now we are back on the basics of downloading and using applications on our smartphones and here in this post, I’d like to talk on the flash share apk app for blackberry 10 phone.
If you take a look properly at the title of this post, you’d realize it’s got a question mark attached. That clearly states that this post isn’t meant to be a solution to downloading the app. Hence, I am sorry if your expectation wasn’t meant. However, I’d like to save you from some stress and data usage and I urge you to continue reading this post till its very end.
Download Flash Share APP For Blackberry
If you ain’t new to this blog, you should know by now that android Apps can easily be installed on blackberry 10 phones. Blackberry 10 phones, in this case, includes the Blackberry Q5, Q10, Z10, Z3, Z30, Q20 Classic, and passport. You do not need to side-load the app or sort. All you need do is the source for the APK version of the android app since android apps use .apk as their extension. Download, install and you are good to go.
But unfortunately, not all of these apps work as expected.
If you are looking to download flash share on lower versions of blackberry devices like the Curve, bold, Torch, and others, I would advise you don’t bother searching because you won’t find it. Flash share cannot and does not work on lower-bb phones like 9930, curve, tour, and other related phones.
Using Flash Share On Blackberry 10 Phones
Having known that flash share does not work on lower BlackBerry devices like the curve, tour, torch, bold, and others, it would only be nice to wipe that off the matter and if flash share for such devices is your search, it’s only cool you end your search here :-).
Talking about using the flash share application on blackberry 10 phones (Using Q5 as a case study), downloading the apk version and installing works but using the app doesn’t.
What that means is, being able to download flash share on a blackberry 10 phone is attainable. It can be done. However, it cannot be used. Although it’d launch, you won’t be able to go past that screen.
You can download, install and even OPEN. All files will be seen via the flash share application but it’s impossible to create a connection or join a connection in other to exchange files.
Remember I am writing this report based on using a Q5 BlackBerry phone. Hence, if you are also using a Q5, you probably shouldn’t stress yourself.
If you are using other BlackBerry variant like the Q10, Z10, Z3, Z30, Q20 classic, I doubt if the app will work for your device in terms of sharing apps, files, pictures and more. Reason being that they are all powered by same operating system.
Now, Please don’t get it twisted. I tried using an earlier version 1 and the latest version 2.0 and none made any difference. Sending the app from an android phone to a blackberry phone works and installs but sending from a BlackBerry phone doesn’t.
Solution To Downloading and Using Flash Share On Blackberry 10 phone?
For the fact that you’ve stumbled on this post, it wouldn’t be nice for you to have gotten to this post and not find a solution, right? Well, the solution isn’t using flash share. The solution is simply using a better app which does every thing flash share does and even more.
The solution is using Xender. Xender is a more popular app and just like flash share, it enables you send and receive even really large files in records or minutes. You can also send and receive apps via the use of the app. Although Xender is available for download and use on blackberry, getting your way around it can be pretty tricky.
Thankfully, I already have a post on this blog that extensively talks about how to download and use Xender on blackberry 10 phones. Please note that this app only works on BB10 phones. Lower BB phones like blackberry 9930, curve, tour, and other related phones are excluded.
Can I Use Flash share On Blackberry 9900, 9780, 9330, etc?
Most of the questions we receive in regards to this app has to do with flash share working on their blackberry devices. Not BB10 devices but lower bb phones. By lower bb phones, we are making reference to curve 2, bold 2, bold 5, bold 6, and the rest.
The most recent received a few minutes back reads thus:
Question: Hi Samuel. Can I be able to use flash share or xender on my blackberry 9800? Please help o
Answer: No. Flash share cannot be used on lower BB phones. Neither bold 2, bold 5, nor bold 6, and the rest can even download the app talk more of running the app.
The flash share app, although available on iOS, cannot be used on lower BB phones.
How about Blackberry 10 phones?
For the fact that BB10 devices from Q5 upwards can run ‘some’ android apps, flash share can be downloaded on these devices but cannot be used as a result of screen display difference. However, Xender can conveniently be used on BB10 phones and can also be used in sending and receiving from other devices using flash share.
Hence, in my honest opinion, download Xender on your BB10 phone instead of flash share. After all, with Xender, you can send and receive files from other users using either Xender app or flash share app.
Hope this answers your questions.
Please we’d like to see your comment regarding using the flash share app on your phone using the comment form and please include the kinda BlackBerry device you use.
