Below is a step by step guide on how to view Instagram uploaded photos in its original size.
Step 1: Visit the Instagram Website from your desired browser. Log in using your correct credentials.
Step 2: Go to the profile of the user whose uploaded picture you want to view in full size.
Now, click on the photo you want to view the full size of. By default, you won’t be able to click on a photo from the news feed. Hence, you have to navigate to the account of the user and thereafter, click on the photo.
Step 3: After clicking on the photo you want to view a full size image of, look at the browser address bar. Therein, you will find something like ?taken-by=iamsammyadeniyi at the end of the URL. In this case, iamsammyadeniyi is the profile username. This can defer from what you get depending on the username. Remove that whole part and replace with media/?size=l.
If ?taken-by=iamsamueladeniyi isn’t displayed in the URL, simply add media/?size=l at the end of the URL.
For example, if the original image URL is https://www.instagram.com/p/BobwnW1B3IY/, performing the change, it will become https://www.instagram.com/p/BobwnW1B3IY/media/?size=l.
Step 4: After modifying the URL, hit Enter.
Doing so, you will be redirected to the full size version of the image.
This can only be done using a browser and not the official Instagram application.
Other than viewing the full size of the image, you can also view the medium size and thumbnail size of the photo.
To view the medium or thumbnail size of the image, amend the URL using media/?size=m or media/?size=t. In this case, m means medium while t means thumbnail.
Saving the image at this point, is very easy. Simply right click on the image and choose save image as…
Choose a location on your computer and choose save. That’s it. On android or iOS, simply tap and hold on the image and choose the save image option.

However, with the steps below, we will be able to view full size of Instagram profile pictures. This method however, defers depending on the device you choose to use.

This method is particularly for computers. A browser is needed of course. For the sake of this tutorial, we will be using Google Chrome.
Step 1: Visit the Instagram website on your browser.
Logging into your account to view someone’s profile picture isn’t necessary. However, there is nothing wrong with choosing to log into your account.
Step 2: Navigate to the desired Instagram profile you want to view the full size of. This, you can choose to do using their posts from news feed, searching for their name or simply inputting the direct URL to their profile via their username.
