The iPhone X officially became available for pre-order a few days back and the device should begin shipping from the 3rd of November, 2017.
The smartphone which initially was supposed to retail at $999, seem to cost more. Typically over $1100. Would you be buying that?
Update: I just realized it’s actually the 256GB version which of course, should cost more compared to other memory models.
Apple are quite good with setting pace. They introduced the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus with no headphone Jack and a few other brands including Google so far, seem to have followed suit with the Pixels 2. Google even went an extra mile by not including an headphone jack in the retail box.
UMI doesn’t seem to only follow suit, they also seem to be working on a replica. By that, I mean, an iPhone X designed Android phone. You can call it an android version of the iPhone X. The display stretches from edge to edge as we have it on the iPhone X.
I initially got an insight on the UMIDIGI Z2 images and a snapshot of what the battery capacity is. However, after a little digging, I got my hands on some rumored specifications. The keyword being rumored.
UMIDIGI Z2 Rumored Specifications
The UMIDIGI Z2 is rumored to feature the following specs:
- Display: 5.7inch
- Resolution: 2160 x 1080
- Processor: MediaTek MT6799 Helio X30
- Memory: 6 GB + 128 GB Internal storage expandable up to 256 GB via SD card.
- Camera: Dual 16 MP + 16 MP back camera with LED flash accompanied by 13 Megapixels front coming shooter.
- Battery: 7000mAh with quick charge.
A 6 GB RAM android phone from UMI shouldn’t come as a surprise. The latest smartphone from Tecno Mobile (Phantom 8) features 6 GB of RAM.
Dual cameras on the smartphone shouldn’t also be a surprise. However, whether or not the dual cameras are gonna be fully functional, cannot be ascertained at this time. Reason being that, some phones launched with dual camera setups are fake. One of the camera is actually the main camera while the second is fake and just to deceive unsuspecting customers. Plus, typically, these specifications are just rumors.
Please note: These are just rumored specifications and should be taken with a grain of salt. What’s accurate at this time, is the fact that UMI is working on the UMIDIGI Z2 with an iPhone X like design. Plus, the device will most likely feature a 7000 mAh battery. The screenshot below clearly reflects that:
More details on the UMIDIGI Z2 android phone will be disclosed as events unfolds and an official memo is received.
