Glo Bumpa still stands out as my most preferred tariff on the network and I will explain why.
First, GLO BUMPA Plan isn’t new. Not even close. As a matter of fact, I’ve written about the plan a couple of times already on this blog.
However, quite a handful of people are still interested in this information and hence, the reason I decided to make a fresh post on the subject matter.
Basically, I use my glo SIM for internet subscriptions. Now, if I recharge N8000 for the 48GB monthly plan, I get a whooping N16000 as bonus.
Thereafter, I make the subscription using the N8000 and am left with N16,000 for calls. What does that tell you? Am literally getting free airtime on the glo network. Isn’t it?
But here’s the thing. The GLO bumpa plan is only handy if you use your SIM for basically internet subscriptions. Recharging little denominations like N200 and making calls with it wouldn’t pay. You’d find out why in a bit though.
In essence, glo bumpa plan gives you 200% of every recharge above N100. Sounds cool huh? The plan can be likened to MTN’s Beta Talk which offers same percentage as bonus on every recharge.
GLO BUMPA PLAN Migration Code
To migrate to GLO BUMPA Tariff plan, simply dial *100*10*1# and tap on the call button. You should thereafter, receive a successful notification.
If you’ve switched tariff plans within the last 30 to 90 days, there’s likely going to be a N100 migration charge. If you haven’t migrated within the last 30 to 90 days, migration is free.
Just before you start excited (If you ain’t already), there is a gimmick. The tariff charge!
How Much Does GLO BUMPA Plan Charges For Calls and SMS?
50 kobo per second. Yes, you read that right. 50 kobo per second as tariff is being charged on glo bumpa plan. Doing the maths, that should equal to N30 per minute.
Of course, that’s on the high side. But like I did mention earlier, it’s only handy if you use the SIM for basically internet subscriptions.
If the SIM is your main line and you tend to use it for more of calls than subscription, you are better off with much cheaper tariffs.
For SMS, it’s the regular N4 per SMS. Nothing surprising in that regards.
