Being able to buy Recharge Card (Airtime) from your local back without the need for internet isn’t rocket science. The service has been ongoing for a while now. However, not everyone is aware of how it’s done.
Sometime back, i talked on how to buy airtime from your access bank account without internet. That service hasn’t been working with my MTN line for a while now despite the network removing N2 on every trial.
Being able to buy airtime from your GTBank account sure works till this very moment. This is what I use these days and it works well. More so, there is no additional charge on the MTN network side.
If you use an Android or iOS device and you ain’t going using mobile banking, I have no idea what you are waiting for. Buying recharge Card using mobile banking is easy and effective. However, it requires internet connection to work.
Let’s assume you don’t currently have internet connection to buy airtime online. Or, you have internet connection but do not want to go through the hustle of having to log into your account on your banking app and all that. That’s where this service comes in handy.
How To Recharge Your Line Using GTBank Without Internet connection
First, I personally think GTBank’s *737# service is awesome. Not only can you conduct transfers using the service, buying recharge Card is really easy.
To recharge your line using your GTBank account without internet connection, dial *737*recharge-amount#. For example, dial *737*500# and N500 recharge Card will be credited to your line.
Buy and Send Recharge Cards To Friends or Family Numbers Using GTBank Account
To get this done, you need to dial the USSD code, amount and the recipient’s phone number. For example, dial *737*500*08123456789#.
To send airtime from your GTBank account to a friend or family number using the USSD code, you need the last four digits of your ATM card or your banking transaction pin. The first recharge option (to self) however, do not require ATM card digits or PIN.
Please Note:
- To buy recharge Card to your personal number, the number needs to be registered on your GTBank’s account.
- The service is free and subjected to a maximum of N5000 recharge limit daily.
- The service is available to only MTN, Airtel and Etisalat lines.
