Apple vs Samsung: Who Will Come Out On Top In 2022?

There’s no doubt that Apple and Samsung are the ultimate headliners of the smartphone world. Very few mobile phone manufacturers come close to their standard of design, sophistication, and technology.

Currently, the Apple iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S series are in a fierce battle for first place as the true innovator of the smartphone. As new features are released on an almost constant basis, with both designs in the premium end of the market, clients are finding it harder and harder to choose between Apple and Android.

The question stands: who will come out on top in 2022?

iPhone 13 vs Galaxy S22

This 2022, the battle between Apple and Android rests in the hands of their two, leading mobile phones: the iPhone 13 and the soon-to-be-released Galaxy S22.

Apple vs Samsung: Who Will Come Out On Top?

It’s important to note that both of these phones don’t change much in design or form from their predecessors. They retain the same iconic, sleek look that they have always had. Of course, many choose their mobile based on the visuals they find most appealing, but it’s always necessary to take a look at the technology inside as well!

Samsung phones are often an evolution, and certainly an improvement, of one another. This is no different from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22.

Expanding upon the technology of the S21, we can expect the Samsung S22 to bring 256GB and 512GB storage options to the table, alongside a 3700 mAh battery and 25W Wired Charging, also with impressive 15W Reverse Wireless Charging. 5G support is available.

Enjoy a 6.06-inch OLED display with 120Hz, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and an array of color choices: white, black, pink gold, and (potentially!) green.

As for the actual processing technology, Samsung favors the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 with 8GB of RAM to start with. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, for example, is said to be the most advanced 5G platform on the market at the moment. Alongside a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and telephoto, with a 10MP front camera. The Samsung S22 takes photography very seriously.

In contrast, the iPhone 13 begins by offering data options from 128GB to 512GB; a little more flexibility in price and design for their customers. Nevertheless, charging is less powerful – 20W Wired Charging with a 3227 mAh battery. 15W Wireless Charging remains the same, neck-and-neck with the Samsung S22.

5G support is also available with the iPhone 13

A 6.1-inch OLED Display at 60Hz is also comparable to the Samsung S22: both can be expected to have a similar clarity of picture and color. The iPhone 13 retains the iconic Face ID technology and – an arguably more diverse – range of color choices: pink, blue, midnight black, silver, gold, and red.

Processing technology does differ from the Samsung S22: an A15 Bionic, with 4GB of RAM to start. This chip brings customers more power than the 2020 iPad Air, innovative technology with 15 billion transistors!

This is unique to Apple, and definitely something you should look out for when purchasing your mobile. The iPhone 13 camera has a 12MP main, ultra-wide, and front. It’s important to note that, sometimes, too many MP can actually hurt the image quality. Apple has taken this into account.

The Conclusion

Ultimately, the choice between Apple and Samsung rests on price and aesthetics. The iPhone 13 starts from $799, while it is expected that the S22 will start at $1000.

If you don’t mind spending a little more on your mobile, the Samsung would certainly be an equally worthy investment as the iPhone! We all prefer different designs, and some are more drawn to the classic, ‘Apple’ look and branding. Decide what phone suits your budget and taste best, and make your purchase based on that.
